Modern mechanical industrial society produces an incredibly large amount of noise often at fairly high sound pressure levels and mostly in the low frequency spectrum.
These sounds are so infused into our cities and societies that they are part of the subconscious structure that forms our physical understanding of modern living. The sounds of transport, electrical transformers, ventilation systems permeate our existence, vibrating us, harmonising us to their needs, embracing us in their songs.
This work is a multichannel sonnet to the machines.
