Work: Lost Oscillations
Bio: Dugal McKinnon is a composer and sound artist whose output encompasses electronic, acoustic and text media, and is often located at the intersection of these. Recent projects include Let x =, a piece for multichannel sound and icosahedral loudspeaker, created while 2014 artist-in-residence at the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics (Graz, Austria), and Cadence, a sound installation for the Adam Art Gallery (Wellington), for metronome, tuning fork, and recombinant musical cadences. Dugal teaches composition, sonic art and sound studies at Te Koki New Zealand School of Music, where he is also director of the Lilburn Studios for electronic music.
